Craig Pointon

Craig Pointon

Craig is the Managing Partner of Moorland Gray and has held responsibility for the strategy and operational execution of the business since its inception in 2007. Prior to relocating to the UAE in 2006, Craig worked in consulting and management roles for a FTSE 250 PLC in London. In addition to his organization-wide leadership responsibilities at Moorland Gray, Craig oversees a number of the firm's key client relationships and plays an active role in Board and C-level searches, particularly across Banking, Insurance, Real Estate and Healthcare-related sectors. Over the last few years, Craig has been responsible for guiding the Moorland Gray business through two successful acquisitions to private equity-led institutions, most recently attracting investment from Accel-KKR, a $4bn Capital Under Management Silicon Valley PE Firm.

Chris Abreu

Chris Abreu

Chris is one of the founding Partners for Moorland Gray who continues to build long-term relationships across the Middle East. Recognized as a thought leader and advocate for Nationalization programs where he has partnered both Government and the private sector in striving towards achieving a successful long-term, sustainable nationalization agenda. Highly regarded within the industry as a strong ambassador to executive search with a proven track record behind him. Continuing to deliver mandates across the region with a focus on business critical appointments.

Prior to this, Chris was a member of the senior leadership team for Carmichael Fisher Executive Search. He was instrumental in the growth of the business that doubled in revenues year on year, which led to two successive acquisitions in 2010 and 2013 respectively – the latter of which was driven by Accel-KKR who continue to support the business with their regional expansion.

Chris has 17 years in the executive search arena with his early career being established in London, within tier one institutions where he held both consulting and management roles, before moving to the UAE in 2007.

Chris is a keen sportsman, educated at Gordonstoun, married with two children and fully committed to the region, which he has been proud to call home for the past 11 years.

Daniel Murphy

Daniel Murphy

Daniel is a Partner at Moorland Gray. He and his team are responsible for Board-level, C-suite, leadership, and advisory appointments within financial institutions, professional services organizations, and direct investment businesses across emerging markets.

Daniel joined Moorland Gray in 2011, initially co-leading the Financial Services Practice for the Middle East. Daniel is now a member of the global leadership team and an operating board member. He continues to play a key role in partnering with clients to spearhead and support the growth of financial services firms in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Daniel has completed a broad range of search assignments for Chairmen, Board Members, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Human Resources Officers, and supporting Senior Advisors and Consultants who have required niche and specialist leadership appointments in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. In addition to working with clients across private equity (direct investments and portfolio companies), investment banking and sovereign wealth funds, Daniel has worked with regulators, exchanges and family offices in the appraisal of leadership teams, non-executive board formation and leadership globalization.

Prior to joining Moorland Gray, Daniel worked with a U.S.-listed search and selection business. Daniel studied sports science and is a UEFA B-qualified football coach. Daniel has led a number of community-based football inclusion projects sponsored by local government and professional clubs.

Daniel Frost

Daniel Frost

Daniel is an executive search and leadership advisory Practice Head with experience across multiple sectors and disciplines. Having operated in the industry for more than 10 years, he has conducted high-level international search work for multinational and regional corporations, as well as government sector institutions.

Over the past seven years, Daniel has successfully executed challenging search mandates in 12 countries including; Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, India, U.S, Russia and multiple European locations. He has spent time on the ground in each region building an understanding and appreciation of cultures, customs and best practice.

Daniel relocated to the Middle East in 2013 to develop and lead the Moorland Gray search business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other emerging/frontier markets. Working across the healthcare sector (private and government) and with diversified family groups and investment firms (multiple sector), Daniel implements a tailor-made consultative approach to the search process, acting as an advisor and mentor to the stakeholders throughout each search engagement. This, along with Moorland Gray’s strategic, process-driven methodology, creates a robust mechanism for solution creation and project completion.

Zak Marar

Zak Marar

Zak joined Moorland Gray with a mandate to lead and further develop the Infrastructure and Operations Practice for the business. Since 2005, Zak has successfully partnered with clients across Financial Services, Industrial, Real Estate and Family Groups. He works with leading local and international client organizations, ranging from small start-up businesses to global FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 corporations across the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Zak’s expertise encompasses senior leadership hires including Chief Financial Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Investment Officers, Strategy & Corporate Development, Group Treasurers, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Auditors and Chief Compliance Officers. Zak regularly consults for his clients about best practice for the current and future state of their infrastructure units, conducts leadership assessment projects and advises on talent acquisition and retention programs. Having led the successful completion of numerous large, complex international and cross-border search projects, Zak intimately understands the complexities and demands of such transactions and is therefore uniquely placed to assist with future mandates of this nature. Previous to his career in executive search, Zak started and ran a real estate and development business in the UK.

Samir leads the firm’s Healthcare Emerging Markets vertical. With more than 14 years of Executive Search experience, he is a specialist in cross-border executive search with extensive experience relocating senior talent from the U.S., Europe, and Australasian markets into the Middle East, Levant, Africa, and the Asia Pacific markets.

Samir has an exceptional track record of appointing senior leaders in a range of healthcare platforms with leading private equity, family offices and institutional investors. Samir also has placed today’s key policy makers and leaders across the UAE’s health regulators, public healthcare providers, medical equipment and publicly listed healthcare provider groups.

Samir’s detailed knowledge of the dynamics of the MEA and APAC markets, and the requirements for senior leaders operating within them, allows him to provide expert advice to clients at the highest levels. With governments encouraging more private participation in the healthcare sector across the emerging markets, Samir has advised healthcare investors and operators on talent attraction and pre/post IPO board appointment strategies specific to the UAE, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Far East.

Ioana Constantinescu

Ioana is a senior Life Sciences Executive Search Practice Head with a strong track record across international emerging markets. With over 16 years of experience in search, she has conducted high-level mandates for some of the most prestigious multinational and regional organizations.

Having joined Moorland Gray in 2011 with a mandate to establish the practice in Middle East Africa and Turkey, she has successfully grown a robust Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices desk with a track record of over 200 senior appointments across markets and industry functions.

Ioana relocated to Dubai in 2008 to start a Recruitment Advertising & Employer Branding firm for an international Group in Marketing & Communications. She previously managed an Executive Search firm in Europe. Having been exposed at a regional and global level, she brings along an in-depth understanding of cultural diversity and corporate governance.

Fidha Sharaf

Fidha Sharaf

Fidha is an Associate with Moorland Gray. Prior to Fidha’s appointment with Moorland Gray, she worked as an Associate in the Middle East office of another global executive search firm. Since 2006, she has successfully delivered senior-level mandates to clients in various sectors, predominantly in the Healthcare field with an emphasis on Pharma & Medical Devices. Fidha has excellent research skills and the capability to deliver on highly challenging searches. She takes responsibility for identifying potential organizations and utilizing her networks to proactively pinpoint, engage, interview, qualify and close suitable candidates for a variety of senior assignments. Fidha furthermore tracks and disseminates information and trends to support search, and has developed extensive industry expertise. Having grown up in the UAE, she has an in-depth understanding of Middle Eastern businesses. Fidha holds a Master’s in Business Management (Marketing) and a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Computer Science.

Lynda Duffy

Lynda Duffy

Lynda joined Moorland Gray in 2013 as an Associate, and leverages 10+ years of industry experience. She is primarily responsible for supporting and strategically delivering as part of high-profile initiatives for clients with business-critical and often time-sensitive mandates. Lynda additionally has helped to architect one of the most respected and highly sought-after talent pools of future leaders as part of Moorland Gray’s Emiratization team. She began her career in Research & Development and Design Assurance, working for a worldwide medical device manufacturer. She then served as a Consultant in Ireland with a leading global recruitment firm, specializing in Engineering and Life Sciences within the Technical division. In 2012, Lynda relocated to the Middle East to focus on Executive Search. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree (with First-class Honors) in Marine Science from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Hazel Gilbuena

Hazel Gilbuena

Hazel joined Moorland Gray in 2014 as an Associate for the Banking and Financial Services Practice, supporting the Principals and Partners in the execution of C-level and senior leadership search engagements. Hazel has successfully completed searches from SVP to C-level within investment banking, financial markets and private equity. Previously, she worked as a Senior Consultant for a DIFC-based boutique for more than seven years, leading research and delivery with a key focus on senior level Private Banking and Wealth Management hires across Europe as well as the GCC and broader MENA region. Hazel has been a resident of the UAE for more than 27 years. She completed her A-Levels in Dubai and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from St. Theresa's College, Philippines.

Denise Lobo

Denise Lobo

Denise is an Associate within Moorland Gray, having joined in 2014. She has been a resident of the UAE for more than 28 years. Since joining the Moorland Gray team, Denise has successfully assisted on a range of C-suite and Director-level executive assignments across the Middle East and emerging markets, particularly in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia and China. Prior to joining Moorland Gray, Denise worked with a local recruitment firm in Dubai for more than six years, where she worked as a Recruitment Manager, identifying, headhunting, and mobilizing senior management for companies of varying size and scale. Denise has led a number of Moorland Gray’s more complex and sensitive engagements in Asia, leveraging the network she has acquired as a trusted confidante to C-level candidates considering their next career choice.
